Mechanical Estimator MandE SSA are recruiting a Mechanical Estimator on behalf of a specialist mechanical contractor based in Essex. You will prepare accurate and competitive mechanical tenders, working closely with suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams. About the client Our client is a specialist mechanical contractor delivering technically demanding construction projects. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in securing new work, working closely with the commercial and project teams. Key responsibilities Prepare detailed mechanical estimates from drawings, specifications and tender documents. Complete quantity take-offs and calculate labour, material and subcontractor costs. Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations. Review tender requirements, identifying risks, exclusions and opportunities. Prepare tender submissions, clearly outlining pricing assumptions and clarifications. Attend tender review meetings and support handovers to project delivery teams. Requirements A minimum of 3 years mechanical estimating experience within MandE or mechanical contracting. Good understanding of mechanical building services, including HVAC, heating, ventilation and plumbing systems. Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. Ability to prepare accurate take-offs and competitive tender submissions. Experience obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
