Your duties and responsibilities as the Trust Inclusion Lead / Head of SEND will include:Strategic Leadership and VisionLead the Trust-wide vision for inclusion, covering SEND, disadvantaged pupils, attendance, behaviour, medical needs, suspensions and exclusionsDevelop and deliver inclusion strategies, including the Pupil Premium Strategy, ensuring alignment with Trust priorities and statutory dutiesInspire and empower leaders and staff to achieve ambitious outcomes for all learnersSchool Support and ImprovementSupport schools in creating and implementing local inclusion plans and targeted interventions for vulnerable pupilsProvide coaching and training for SENDCos and staff to strengthen inclusive practice and positive behaviour approachesAdvise on strategies to improve attendance and reduce suspensions or exclusions, ensuring reintegration plans are effectiveQuality, Assurance and External EngagementAnalyse data and evaluate practice to drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning and pupil outcomes for all groupsReport on progress to senior leaders, the Trust Board and relevant committees, highlighting risks and successesBuild strong relationships with parents, communities, local authorities and networks, representing the Trust and influencing best practiceCANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Significant experience of leading inclusion in a multi-school or Trust-wide capacityExperience in setting school-level targets and plans relating to inclusionExcellent organisational skills including a good standard of numeracy and literacy, including calculating financial informationExperience of working with data and insights to make data-informed decisionsAbility to work on own initiative, making sound decisions quickly and efficiently and in line with the Trust’s values; upholding the values and ethos of the Trusts WayAbility to lead through times of change, with an understanding of effective change management with a people-focused mindsetExcellent ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing with colleagues at all levels of the organisation and externallyExcellent organisation and time management skills to be able to organise and prioritise multiple work streams within a fast-paced and evolving environmentExcellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop positive and effective working relationships with a range of colleagues, and external stakeholdersAbility to produce work to a high standard, with excellent accuracy and attention to detailBENEFITS
