Governance Officer Finance and Governance GO/11/26 Job Grade: Staff Officer (SO) Permanent Salary will be in the range £37,694 - £38,990 per annum Closing date for applications: 17:00 on Monday 23rd November 2026Purpose of the role Reporting to the Risk and Governance Manager, the Governance Officer will support the delivery of the governance, assurance and compliance functions of the Victims and Survivors Service (VSS). The postholder will help ensure that appropriate governance arrangements, internal controls and assurance mechanisms are in place across the organisation and funded partner organisations to support the effective stewardship of public funds, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement. The Governance Officer will provide operational support in the delivery of governance reviews, verification activity, audit processes, risk reporting and corporate governance requirements. By the closing date for applications, candidates must demonstrate that they fulfil each of the following essential criteria: 1. Qualified or part-qualified in a finance or audit related discipline. AND 2. A minimum of 2 years'' practical experience in each of the following areas.
