Directorate Administrator (Education and Student Experience)

OverviewOverall Purpose: The Directorate Assistant will provide administrative support to a senior member of the Education and Student Experience and other leaders as directed. They will oversee diary management, and ensure accurate recording of budgetary spend, collation of staffing information and respond to business requirements, e.g., the review of risk registers, data retention schedules and schedules of business.
Responsibilities
To provide administrative support to Directorate leaders in diary management, and scheduling of directorate level activities
To record minutes and actions from directorate-level working groups and / or meetings
To support the timely review of business-information, e.g., risk registers, data retention, business continuity
To be responsible for the purchasing of resources, consumables, travel and development as needed and maintain accurate records of resource usage and budgetary expenditure
Provide administrative support across a broad range of HR activities including core recruitment through to conclusion of probation, staff absence
To support learning and teaching with a range of reporting and information collation as needed, and for a range of purposes
Assist with the organisation of preparation of large events arranged by the service, e.g., the Learning and Teaching conference
To process room booking requests
To contribute to pan university events including induction, welcome, and graduation
To undertake any other activity as appropriate and as requested by the Education and Student Experience leadership
