Job Overview:

We''re currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives / Parcel Sorters to join a growing and fast-paced parcel operation in Newton Aycliffe.

This is a physically active role involving the handling, scanning and sorting of parcels as part of the daily logistics process. We''re looking for people who are fit, reliable, hard-working and keen to build a long-term career within the team.

Inductions available immediately - Wednesday/Thursday/Friday

Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Operator/Parcel Sorter

• Loading and unloading parcels from vans
• Scanning parcels using handheld scanners
• Sorting parcels accurately and efficiently
• Placing parcels into cages
• Moving and uploading cages into designated locations
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following all health & safety procedures
• Working effectively as part of a team

Requirements:

• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
• Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Reliable, punctual and hard-working
• Good attention to detail
• Able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
• No previous warehouse experience required - full induction and training provided

Hours of Work:

Sunday/Monday - Friday with optional Saturday shift

Night Shift

02:00 - 09:30

Weekend work may also be available if required.

Pay Rate:

-12.71 per hour initially - enhanced hourly to be discussed due to night shift

Increases to -14.93 per hour after 14 weeks, with a contract offered based on performance and attendance.

Overtime rates available after 40 hours

Term-to-Perm Opportunity:

This role offers an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent position.

After 14 weeks, you may be offered a permanent contract based on your performance, reliability and attendance record.
