Head of Workplace Experience

We are looking for an exceptional Head of Workplace Experience to lead the next chapter of workplace experience for a leading UK organisation.

This is a senior and highly visible leadership role, responsible for implementing and embedding the workplace experience strategy across three main sites and three micro sites. Leading a national team of approximately 35 colleagues, you will bring together people, culture, hospitality, workplace services and customer experience to create workplaces where colleagues feel welcomed, connected and inspired.

The Opportunity

As Head of Workplace Experience, you will lead the implementation, delivery and continued development of the workplace experience strategy across the portfolio.

You will turn the strategy and client ambitions into clear delivery plans and meaningful experiences that colleagues, customers and visitors can see, feel and remember.

Working closely with senior client stakeholders, operational leaders and facilities management teams, you will ensure workplace experience becomes part of the culture rather than simply a service.

This role requires an influential and inspiring leader who can bring teams together, drive consistent delivery and create experiences that make a measurable difference.

What You''ll Do

Deliver the Workplace Experience Strategy

Implement and embed the workplace experience strategy across all main sites.

Turn the strategy into clear plans, priorities and ways of working.

Create consistent, memorable experiences tailored to each location.

Use feedback and data to drive continuous improvement.

Deliver activities and events that strengthen connection and pride.

Inspire and Lead the Team

Lead and inspire a national team of approximately 35 colleagues.

Set clear expectations and empower the team to deliver meaningful experiences.

Coach managers and frontline colleagues to lead with confidence.

Build a culture of ownership, wellbeing, inclusion, recognition and pride.

Develop future leaders and a strong talent pipeline.

Bring the Experience to Life

Deliver engaging experiences across every location.

Create activities that respond to colleague needs and workplace behaviours.

Ensure every interaction creates a positive, joined-up experience.

Empower teams to anticipate needs, solve problems and show genuine care.

Test new ideas, improve them and roll out successful initiatives across the portfolio.

Build Strategic Client Partnerships

Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.

Act as the workplace experience lead and subject-matter expert.

Turn changing priorities into improvements and new opportunities.

Present performance, insights and recommendations confidently.

Demonstrate how workplace experience can improve engagement, attraction and retention.

Connect the Wider Service Community

Bring workplace experience and facilities management teams together around a shared purpose.

Encourage shared responsibility for the experience across all services.

Improve collaboration, learning and consistency.

Lead and influence beyond your immediate team.

Ensure services work seamlessly for colleagues, customers and visitors.

Drive Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Lead workplace experience improvements across the portfolio.

Challenge existing ways of working and introduce new ideas.

Use feedback, trends and colleague insights to shape future experiences.

Measure results and build on successful initiatives.

Develop an approach that sets a high standard for workplace experience.

Lead Performance and Commercial Delivery

Set clear expectations for service quality and performance.

Oversee budgets, resources and workforce planning.

Use data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Balance innovation with operational and commercial requirements.

Demonstrate value for money and measurable results.

Contribute to performance reviews and future planning.

Safety and Compliance

Promote safe working practices and encourage colleagues to speak up.

Ensure services meet contractual, governance, compliance and risk requirements.

About You

You are an inspiring, people-focused and commercially aware leader who understands how workplace experience influences the way people feel, connect and perform.

You are as comfortable delivering strategy and presenting to senior stakeholders as you are spending time with frontline teams and seeing the workplace through the eyes of colleagues and visitors.

You bring energy, curiosity and credibility, and understand that the best workplace experiences come from bringing people, services and spaces together around a shared purpose.

You''ll Bring:

Senior leadership experience in workplace experience, hospitality, customer experience, facilities management or integrated facilities management.

Proven experience managing multi-site operations and geographically dispersed teams.

A strong track record of leading and developing managers and frontline teams.

A good understanding of customer and colleague experience.

The ability to turn strategy into practical, engaging experiences.

Strong client relationship and senior stakeholder management skills.

Experience delivering change, innovation or cultural improvement.

Confidence using data and feedback to guide decisions.

Commercial awareness, including budgets, resource planning and performance management.

The ability to engage, influence and bring people with you.

Flexibility to travel regularly between Reading, Swindon, Newbury and other portfolio locations.

Why Join Us?

This is an opportunity to bring an ambitious workplace experience strategy to life for one of the UK''s most recognised organisations.

You will have the freedom to lead implementation, inspire a national team and influence how thousands of colleagues, customers and visitors experience the workplace.

You will lead a significant portfolio and have the opportunity to develop an approach that sets a benchmark for workplace experience.
