Industrial Electrician Shipyard Location: Birkenhead, CH41 9BP Contract: Temporary, ongoing Expected duration: Approximately 7 8 weeks, likely until Christmas Pay: Basic (21.51/hr) Nights (32.27.hr) Overtime 1 (32.27) Overtime 2 (43.02) The Opportunity We are recruiting a qualified, time-served Electrician to support ship repair operations at a busy Birkenhead shipyard. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, relocating and removing temporary electrical equipment, primarily temporary lighting and power distribution systems on board vessels and around the shipyard. The work is expected to run for approximately 7 8 weeks, with the possibility of a longer-term opportunity for the right candidate, depending on workload. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, relocate and remove temporary lighting and power distribution systems on vessels and throughout the shipyard. Carry out three-phase electrical work and some single-phase 110V work. Connect, test and inspect temporary electrical equipment. Identify and respond to electrical faults. Run, route and secure cables safely around vessels and work areas. Follow permit-to-work, isolation and site safety procedures. Maintain a clean and safe working environment and report hazards or defects. Essential Requirements Time-served Electrician or equivalent recognised qualification.
