The right candidate will: The Finance Officer will support the delivery of financial planning, budget setting, budget monitoring, forecasting, financial reporting and the annual statement of accounts process. The post holder will apply technical accounting knowledge, financial systems expertise and an understanding of local government finance to support effective decision-making and ensure compliance with corporate policies, statutory requirements and professional standards. Provide high quality financial advice, guidance and support to managers and budget holders to assist effective service delivery and financial decision-making. Support the preparation and delivery of annual revenue and capital budgets, medium-term financial plans and financial forecasts. Produce and analyse financial management information, identifying trends, risks and opportunities and making appropriate recommendations. Support the Council''s financial accounting and reporting processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, CIPFA guidance and corporate financial procedures.
