Overview

Scheme Manager required for housing association in the London Borough of Richmond. These are individual dwellings in which residents enjoy independent living. The Scheme Managers support residents in maintaining dignity and independence. The position is non-residential.Responsibilities

Provide support at all the house estates, dependent on the schedule of cover and staff leave. There are 48 houses.Help residents and assist one another in dealing with emergencies at all times.Keep good records of the residents to summon doctors, family members, etc., and to discuss relevant matters with Social Services departments.Prepare short written reports for Trustees on dates set at the beginning of each year, detailing matters other than routine support.Get to know each resident and visit according to need, with some residents requiring a daily visit and others a weekly call.Observe and note residents’ activity even when they are not being called upon.Treat every resident with respect, provide kindly support, contact appropriate services as required, and deal with emergencies.Hours

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 1.00pm and 2.00pm – 5.00pm. Public holidays are worked in rotation and lieu days taken off.Benefits and Salary

Applicants must live within a 10-15 minute drive of central Richmond, Surrey, so they can attend emergencies quickly and visit residents when on emergency call overnight.Full clean UK driving licence and own road-worthy car.Experience in a role with older people, computer literate, able to work as part of a team and using own initiative.Appointment subject to satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
