Mechanical Engineer needed asap in Derby must be qualified to level 3 standard and experienced in manufacturing/plant machinery. Days: 6-2 or 8-4 pm Monday to Friday No weekends Overtime structure if applicable. Responsibilities and Key work tasks Carry out a full range of engineering and maintenance duties for the entire site, diagnosing and resolving faults Use of CMMS system to record maintenance and breakdown activities Proactive in maintaining, developing and implementing site improvement processes and carrying out both preventative and breakdown maintenance of all fixed plant. Executing work to specific Health and Safety, Company and Industry Standards and Regulations. Support local contractor management processes ensuring they are following Health and Safety Standards Ensure the plant is run in a safe and stable manner ensuring continuity of the process and equipment, whilst using best practices for energy efficiencies. Operate and adjust the process to give the specified product quality level and quantity in accordance with the Quality System Requirements. Carry out all in-process testing and at the frequency specified and accurately report, record, and communicate all information relevant to the activities carried out during your shift. Fully deputise for the Shift Team Leader as per business requirements. To ensure that the Plant and control room cleanliness is kept to the required standard.
