HGV Class 1 Driver - Tamworth, Staffordshire People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Tamworth, Staffordshire. Shifts • Monday - Friday• Start times between 03:00 and 07:00 (flexibility required) Rates of Pay • Basic: £17.00 per hour• Saturday: £19.14 per hour• Sunday: £25.18 per hour Benefits As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will receive: • Excellent hourly rates• Ongoing, reliable work• Weekly pay• Paid training and induction• Supportive transport team and modern facilities Day-to-Day Duties As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to): • Carrying out 2-3 depot-to-depot trunking runs per shift (curtain-sider work, no handball)• Operating Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations• Completing daily vehicle checks before and after each shift• Ensuring all loads are secured and compliant with transport regulations• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly Essential Skills • Valid UK Category C+E Licence• Minimum 12 months'' experience driving C+E vehicles• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no major endorsements)• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card• Strong understanding
