Stress Engineer / Composite / Aircraft / Metallic Job Title: Stress EngineerLocation: Bristol (Hybrid) - 3 days on-site per weekCompany: Engineering consultancyHourly rate: 37 per hourDetermination: Outside IR35 Role Overview:We''re seeking an experienced Stress Engineer to manage and contribute to the design and analysis of aerospace and defense structures, focusing on Composite structure. The role involves leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration with clients and internal teams.Key Responsibilities:Analysis of Metallic and Composite structural components.Work with a team responsible for the review and analysis of aircraft structural modifications to show compliance to FAR/CAR etc. regulations.Development of Global Finite Element Model (GFEM) for loads.Development of DFEM for sizing parts having complex configuration.Development of Analysis templates using classical methods.Review technical presentations, interpret the results and present the same to Customer during PDR and CDR gates.Responsible for ensuring 100% quality and on-time delivery Stress Engineer / Composite / Aircraft / Metallic Required Skills:Expertise in handling various structural analysis tools preferably MSC Nastran/Patran, HyperMesh etc.2D and 3D Finite Element modeling of simple, moderate and complex components (Plate, Hexahedral and tetrahedral elements) using MSC Nastran/Patran or HyperMeshLinear and non-linear static stress analysis (Geometric, Material and contact Linearity) using MSC Nastra
