This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys mechanical problem-solving and working on the strip-down, inspection and rebuild of industrial equipment.The position will involve working on blower vacuum pumps, rotary valves, pumps, gearboxes and pneumatic systems, ensuring equipment is repaired, refurbished and reassembled to a high standard of quality and reliability.ResponsibilitiesDisassembly, assessment and reassembly for repair of blower vacuum pumps and rotary valvesMaking accurate measurement readings, replacing key components and reassembling products using notes taken during initial inspectionMechanical fitting, servicing and refurbishment of pumps, gearboxes and pneumatic assembliesFault-finding and diagnosis of mechanical and pneumatic issuesCompleting maintenance records and service reports accurately, both on paper and using a tabletEnsuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently and in line with quality standardsMaintaining good housekeeping and following company safety proceduresBasic QualificationsRecognised apprenticeship or vocational training qualificationExperience working with machine tools and/or mechanical assembliesWorking knowledge
