Your new company Hays Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of an established SME business who are looking to appoint an experienced Accountant to their finance team.This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful business in a broad and varied accounting role, where you will have visibility across the finance function and work closely with key stakeholders across the organisation.Your new roleAs Accountant, you will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of accounting duties, including:Preparation of monthly management accountsMonth-end reporting, including accruals and prepaymentsBalance sheet reconciliationsCashflow reporting and forecastingBudgeting and forecastingVAT returnsSupporting year-end accountsLiaising with external accountants and auditors as requiredMonitoring costs and providing financial analysisMaintaining accurate financial records and strong financial controlsSupporting improvements to accounting processes and systemsProviding financial information to support business decision-makingAssisting across the wider finance function when requiredAs part of an SME environment, this will be a hands-on position offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to become involved in the wider commercial activities of the business.What you''ll need to You will have previous experience working within an accounting role and will be comfortable taking ownership of month-end and management accounting responsibilities.You may be ..... full job details .....
