Lead Laboratory AccessionerRole summary: day-to-day lead for accessioning; manage workflow assignment and cross-functional troubleshooting to ensure timely and accurate specimen processing.Site-specific note Bristol includes scanner allocation/troubleshooting and high-volume slide management.Duration: 6 MonthsPay rate: 26,510 per annumKey responsibilitiesMonitor throughput and assign tasks; maintain accurate records, tier boards, and communications.Work with peers across group and pathology operations lead to ensure pathology rotas are up to date and work allocation is fairly assigned.Manage site pathology rotas across all laboratory working days, and respond to any unplanned absence.Manage slide storage, slide recovery and allocation of slides for further molecular testing, immunocytochemistry and immunohistochemistry. Support specimen receipt, staging, and storage;Coordinate purchasing to maintain par levels; track usage and inventory of accessioning supplies Orchestrate scanner throughput; perform first-line scanner troubleshooting and escalation.Lead exception/rejection process oversight and ensure timely resolution of problematic samples.Audit accession-to-billing and escalate to Customer Relations for correction and prevention.Support Customer Service function; monitoring email, and handling phone calls.Support, data collection, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality assurance efforts.QualificationsGCSEs or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.2+ years ..... full job details .....
