Interaction Engineering Senior 5-Axis CNC Offline Programmer Contract Rate: Up to £35 per hourLocation: chatterisDuration: 2 month contract - potentially ongoing for the right candidate The Opportunity Aerotron Composites is seeking an experienced 5-Axis CNC Offline Programmer for a short-term contract assignment within a specialist manufacturing environment.This is an excellent opportunity for a highly capable CAD/CAM professional with extensive hands-on experience using Autodesk PowerMill and PowerShape, supporting complex 5-axis machining operations and optimising manufacturing processes.We need someone who can hit the ground running, work autonomously and make an immediate contribution to programming capability, machining efficiency and production output.Key Responsibilities Develop, optimise and prove out 5-axis CNC offline programs using Autodesk PowerMill and PowerShape.Create OMV programs and probing cycles to support machining accuracy and inspection requirements.Support first-off machining, program prove-outs and production release.Work with FANUC and HEIDENHAIN CNC controls.Troubleshoot programming and machining issues, implementing effective corrective actions.Optimise toolpaths, tooling strategies and machining parameters to improve cycle times, accuracy and efficiency.Develop robust programming strategies and produce clear, accurate operator instructions.Support fixture validation, fixture design improvements and tooling development.Manipulate CAD data to ..... full job details .....
