Our education facility based near to Haywards Heath, are looking for a Gardener to join their team. Monday to Friday 08.00 - 17.00. Driving licence and own transport required due to the rural setting.You will need to be an experienced gardener who has experience of using a strimmers, hedge cutters, lawn mowers etc.You will also be required to complete a DBS check.Salary £29264 plus 28 days holiday, pension and free meals.Duties:Undertake the range of tasks specified under the direction of the Head of Grounds and Site Security: To care for the plants, shrubs and trees around site and ensure seasonal planting of bulbs and flowers to facilitate attractive grounds.To weed, dead head and maintain flower bed areas keeping them looking their best. To water and feed flowerbeds and turf areas, including operation of irrigation systems where applicable To safely and competently operate strimmer s, hedge cutters, lawnmowers, other horticultural machinery, once suitable training has been completed. To maintain and safeguard such tools and machinery as are provided in a safe, and effective condition. Area maintenance to include leaf and litter clearance, hedge trimming, grass cutting, mulching, scrub clearance, weeding and general cleaning. To assist with setting up goals and events on the sports fields.To be willing to drive all school vehicles including minibuses.
