US/UK Tax Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced US/UK Tax Manager or Senior Manager to join a well-established dual-handling tax team. You will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, families, and international assignees, covering both compliance and advisory matters across the UK and US tax systems.This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge of dual jurisdictions who is passionate about providing exceptional client service, mentoring junior colleagues, and contributing to the growth of a thriving tax practice.Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of private clients, ensuring timely delivery of tax compliance and advisory servicesReview and file both US and UK tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to compliance requirementsAdvise on complex cross-border issues, including residence and domicile, offshore trusts, inheritance tax, and international mobilityProvide technical guidance to team members, resolving complex queries and ensuring quality standards are maintainedSupervise, coach, and mentor junior staff, supporting their professional developmentAct as a key point of contact for clients, building long-term relationships and providing commercially focused adviceContribute to business development activities, including client pitches and proposalsDraft technical notices, reports, and internal guidance to support knowledge sharing within the teamEnsure all assignments are managed effectively, within agreed timeframes, and completed before senior reviewAbout You
Dual-handler qualifications (e.g. Enrolled Agent, ATT, ACA, CTA, or equivalent)Proven experience preparing, reviewing, and filing UK and US tax returnsStrong technical knowledge of cross-border personal tax issues, including current US tax legislationDemonstrated management skills, including supervising, coaching, or mentoring junior staffExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearlyStrong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, plan, and deliver under pressureA proactive, approachable, and collaborative mindset with a genuine interest in client serviceWhat’s on Offer
