Retail Chef Manager Location: HMNB ClydeSalary: £34,000 per annumHours: 40 hours per week Monday-Friday, 06:00-14:00Sites: 3 small cafés The Role We are seeking an experienced catering professional to provide central food and retail support across frontline units. You will support the delivery of food offers, retail standards and compliance, while training and developing in-unit teams to deliver excellent food, service and customer experience. This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified Chef with multi-site experience, who is happy to support both kitchen and front-of-house operations. Key Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety, legislative and Compass proceduresSupport and implement food offers, menus, innovations and retail conceptsTrain, coach and support catering and retail teams across sitesMonitor food quality, service standards, sales and profitabilityBuild strong client relationships and support contract retentionUse EPOS, Nexus and unit dashboards to forecast sales, stock and labourManage stock, promotions, merchandising and recipe complianceConduct audits (HandS, quality, profit protection)Support banking, reconciliations and accurate weekly reporting Essential Criteria Professional Cookery Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)Multi-site catering/retail experienceStrong culinary skills with training and development experienceFinancially aware with food cost and margin control knowledgeConfident communicator with strong presentation skillsP
