Supply Chain Manager
A leading defence technology business require a Supply Chain Manager to participate in sourcing, supplier relationship management and contract management activities on high profile MOD customer frameworks. Applicants should have procurement or supply chain management experience within a regulated environment, while previous exposure to the defence industry and MOD contracting would be advantageous. The Supply Chain Manager will join a high-performing procurement function responsible for supporting bids, projects, products and managed services activities. The role will focus on strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract management and supply chain management of supplier partners who are part of the MOD customer framework. Within the role there will be opportunity to work with a diverse range of supplier organisations, from micro companies to large global defence primes and academia. The role is predominately downstream focused to the supply chain but there will also be MOD customer interactions. Specific duties of the Supply Chain Manager include:Develop and implement procurement and supply chain strategies aligned to business and programme requirementsBuild, manage and develop strategic, critical and preferred supplier relationshipsUndertake supplier due diligence, risk assessments, audits and supplier onboarding and development activitiesLead supplier contract negotiations, securing favourable commercial terms and managing riskMonitor and improve supplier
