Full-Time Teaching Assistant (SEND) - Sheffield

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work across a variety of welcoming and supportive primary schools in the Sheffield area.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of SEND needs within mainstream classroom settings. You will play a vital role in helping children access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

This is a flexible position where you may be required to work on a daily supply basis or take on longer-term assignments as they arise. This makes it an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and adapting to different school environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Managing behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting pupil''s emotional and social development

Requirements:

• Experience working with primary-aged children in a mainstream or SEND setting
• A strong understanding of SEND needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language)
• A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine passion for supporting children''s development
