BDS have a fantastic opportunity for a housing support worker in Exeter and surrounding area

Hours per Week: 37

Expected Length of Contract: Temporary ongoing-

Salary Details: Circa -15-per hour paye plus hol pay or -19 per hour-umbrella

BDS Recruitment are looking for a Support Worker to work with vulnerable adults who have been homeless or facing homelessness.

The successful candidate will provide a holistic and positive approach to solution focussed support.

Your workload will be around 5 to 8 customers at any one time, which will give you the time and capacity to provide a high quality service. You will be a part of a larger team, who support people with complex needs in the Honiton area.

As a Support Worker, you will be working closely with other agencies around specific needs including mental health, substance misuse, benefits, private letting agents and landlords and/or others and exploring options around education, training and employment. You will need to write, review and update support plans and risk assessments and take a positive approach towards risk management.

Experience in a similar role would be desirable, however what is most important is having a passion for helping people in the local community. A current enhanced DBS check will be required.
