Light Assembler/Machine Operator

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday: 06:00 – 14:00

• Friday: 06:00 – 10:30

Masstemps are currently recruiting for a Light Assembler / Spot Welder on behalf of one of our busy clients based in the Tipton area.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for light, hands-on production work in a busy manufacturing environment.

• Operating a spot-welding machine.

• Assembling and joining metal rods together.

• Positioning thin steel rods (approximately the thickness of a coat hanger) vertically and horizontally.

• Placing the steel rods onto a rotating circular worktable.

• Aligning the metal rods correctly with the spot-welding machine.

• Using a foot pedal/press to operate the welding machine and join the metal together.

• Maintaining a steady workflow and ensuring products meet quality standards.

• Previous machine operating or production experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

• Good attention to detail.

• Able to carry out repetitive, light production duties.

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
