TIG Welder / Fabricator

We have several permanent opportunities for experienced TIG Welders, Coded Welders and Welder Fabricators to join a brand-new, purpose-built manufacturing facility near Stamford and Oakham.

You’ll be joining an established international engineering business working on varied, bespoke engineering projects rather than repetitive production welding.

The new facility features modern welding equipment, X-ray inspection technology, CNC machinery and advanced robotics, providing an excellent environment for skilled welders looking for long-term career progression.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm

Friday: 7:30am – 1:00pm

The Role

As a TIG Welder / Fabricator, you will produce high-quality welded and fabricated components for technically demanding engineering projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

• TIG welding and fabrication from engineering drawings

• Reading isometric, fabrication and engineering drawings

• Working accurately with metric and imperial measurements

• Cutting, drilling, grinding, pipe bending and other fabrication preparation

• Working to Welding Procedure Specifications

• Producing fillet, lap, corner and butt welds

• Working to ASME IX and ISO 15614 standards

• Working with carbon steel, stainless steel and high-nickel alloys

• Preparing components for X-ray and radiographic inspection

• Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and workmanship

What We’re Looking For

You should have previous TIG welding or coded welding experience alongside strong fabrication skills.

We are particularly interested in candidates from pressure vessel, pipework, oil and gas, heavy engineering or other high-integrity manufacturing environments.

You will also need:

• Experience reading engineering and fabrication drawings

• Experience working to welding procedures and WPS documentation

• Good knowledge of welding preparation techniques

• A full UK driving licence

Experience producing welds subject to X-ray or radiographic inspection would be advantageous.

Candidates will be required to complete a Class 1 TIG fillet weld test as part of the recruitment process.
