The Role – Area Sales Manager
- This is a field sales role
- The role is focused on developing demand within the flooring contractor market while also building and strengthening long-term partnerships with key independent flooring distributors across the region.
- This is a true push and pull sales position where success comes from consistent market presence, strong relationships and effective collaboration with flooring distributor partners.
- You will work closely with branch teams to increase product visibility, support specification activity and drive pull-through sales at local level.
- Key areas of responsibility include developing relationships with contractors to influence product usage, managing and growing business through independent distributors, and working in partnership with branch and area teams on joint activity such as trade days, contractor mornings and in-branch engagement sessions.
- A key part of the role will also involve identifying and converting new business opportunities across your territory.
The Candidate for the Area Sales Manager role
- We are looking for a commercially driven flooring sales professional with strong industry knowledge and the ability to build demand through both contractor and distribution channels.
- You will ideally have experience within the flooring sector, either from a manufacturer or distributor background, and a strong understanding of how to operate effectively within contractor and merchant environments.
- The successful candidate will be proactive, relationship-focused and confident operating in a field-based sales role.
- You will have a proven ability to build long-term partnerships, work collaboratively with distribution networks and demonstrate strong commercial awareness. Ambition to develop within a growing, performance-led manufacturer is essential.

Package on offer for the Area Sales Mangaer
- Basic salary up to £55,000 (dependent on experience)
