You will work in a dynamic environment that requires strong analytical skills and a compassionate approach.Day-to-Day of the Role:Evaluate referrals to assess the level of need or risk for children and families.Build relationships through home visits, interviews, and direct work with children.Liaise with professionals such as teachers, GPs, health visitors, and police to gather relevant information.Assess parental capacity, environmental factors, and family dynamics to identify risks and protective factors.Investigate concerns of significant harm and incorporate findings into the Single Assessment.Write detailed assessments that inform Child Protection Conferences, Children in Care Reviews, and other statutory meetings.Ensure assessments are completed within the required timeframe-typically within 10 to 40 days, depending on urgency.Apply critical thinking and evidence-based practice to make decisions in complex and sensitive situations.Required Skills and Qualifications:Registered with Social Work England.Minimum of 2 years'' experience as a social worker in a fast-paced front door team.Experience with court work.
