Site BasedResponsibilities
Conduct external and internal security patrols and carry out routine tests of security equipment. Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as requiredManage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment InstructionsMonitor Systems, oversee Access Control and Camera Systems (Bosch, Lenel), investigate causes of fire alarm activationsRespond to Alarms; Address Access Control Alarms using systems and camerasDispatch: Use radio and other physical security equipment to dispatch and track Security Officers'' calls for requests. Operate ‘stop and search’ policies when requiredCustomer Service: Answer calls and provide security services coordination and display an outstanding level of customer serviceTechnical Support - Identify and log Access Control malfunctions, raise tickets for equipment, systems, or facilities requestsEmergency Coordination - Manage emergency incidents with Physical Security Officers, liaise with first responders, follow regulation policies and execute emergency SOC (Securitas Operations Centre) protocolsMaintain all logbooks and records, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conduct effective handover proceduresRecord and report all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices to management. Ensure any equipment provided by the customer and Securitas is managed in accordance with procedures.Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring the safeguarding of the premisesIssue visitor/contractor passes and deal with lost propertyUndertake any other duties as requested by ManagementEssential criteria
Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable historyMust hold British Nationality and have lived in the UK for the last 10 years (due to the nature of clearance required for this site)Valid, current SIA license (DS/SG/CCTV)Full UK driving license with access to a vehicleNo current criminal convictionsPrior experience as a Security Officer in the security industryDemonstrate full dedication and commitment to engaging in and completing the thorough DV clearance processProficient in report writing to document incidents clearly and accuratelyExperience with surveillance systems is essential for effective monitoring is preferred but optional as training will be providedAbility to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detailA proactive approach to problem-solving and incident managementProficient in both speaking and written English, and the ability to convey information to a third party in a concise mannerStrong IT knowledge, with proficiency in using software, databases, and communication systemsA keen eye for detail and the ability to identify and respond to potential risksExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to coordinate multiple teams and individualsAbility to remain calm under pressure and manage high-stress situations effectivelyIn-depth knowledge of CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems within a SOC environmentDesirable
