Assistant Quantity Surveyor MandE Location: Darlington Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join one of the UK''s leading MandE Contractors supporting the commercial delivery of a major new-build project. The successful candidate will initially be working on a new-build office development with an MandE package valued at approximately £15 million, offering excellent exposure to a significant project and the opportunity to develop their commercial experience. Ideally, candidates will have an MandE or Building Services background. However, we would also welcome applications from those with general construction experience or experience working within a larger construction or contracting organisation, where they have gained an understanding of Quantity Surveying and commercial processes. You will be joining a supportive and experienced commercial team, with access to ongoing guidance, mentorship and development to help progress your career. Key Responsibilities Assist with the commercial management and financial control of MandE projects. Support the preparation, submission and agreement of valuations and applications for payment. Assist with subcontractor procurement, package management and payment assessments. Monitor project costs, variations and change control.
