Our client is currently looking to recruit a Tree Officer on an initial 3-6 month contract Tree Officer £50 per hour Northamptonshire - Hybrid We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Tree Officer to join our team and play a vital role in managing, preserving and expanding the local tree population. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about arboriculture, biodiversity and community engagement. Purpose of the Role You will provide professional advice on a wide range of tree-related matters, including Tree Preservation Orders, tree works applications, hedgerow regulations, high hedges, landscape considerations, environmental projects, rights of way and the preparation of policies, strategies and consultations. What you will be doing Carry out proactive inspections of trees to ensure public safety and compliance with statutory and asset-management duties. Assist with maintaining and updating the council s tree inventory and management software to ensure accurate, up-to-date records. Support the delivery of tree maintenance, tree husbandry and planting programmes. Provide guidance and monitor the work of arboriculture contractors to ensure all specifications and standards are met. Respond to tree-related enquiries from the public, offering clear, professional advice in line with council policies. Promote and support tree planting and woodland creation projects, from initial planning through to delivery. Liaise with partner organisations, volunteers
