Design Engineer Salary: £50,000 £60,000 DOEBonus: 10% annual bonusLocation: Predominantly remote, with occasional attendance at a Reading office (typically fortnightly/monthly)THE ROLE An established technical engineering organisation is looking for Design Engineers to join its growing design function.Opportunities are available for engineers with either an electrical or mechanical focus, with experience in fire detection, fire suppression, and data centre environments particularly relevant.You will be responsible for delivering technical design solutions from concept through to completion, producing accurate drawings, calculations, technical submissions, and project documentation while working closely with project, commercial, sales, operations, and service teams.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead design activities including layouts, calculations, schematics, technical submissions, and design documentation.Produce compliant engineering designs in line with relevant BS, EN, NFPA, and client requirements.Prepare drawings, calculations, specifications, OandM manuals, and as-built documentation.Develop technical build budgets and support procurement and mobilisation.Coordinate internal design resources and external consultants/CAD technicians.Provide technical support during project delivery, installation, and commissioning.Support sales and estimating teams with tenders, proposals, and client meetings.Maintain accurate design records and ensure alignment with contractual and technical ..... full job details .....
