Hybrid availableWe are working with a prestigious client in Newcastle who is seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Administrator to join their growing team.The RoleAs a Senior Payroll Administrator, you will:Take ownership of payroll processes, including data entry, validation, and analysisRun end-to-end payroll activities, ensuring timely and accurate completionHandle both standard and non-standard payroll tasks independentlyLiaise with the Pension Administration team and respond to payroll and pensioner queriesSupport senior colleagues with payroll projects and business development initiativesMentor and train junior team members, checking their work to ensure accuracyIdentify errors, resolve issues, and escalate when necessaryWork proactively, managing your workload effectively and meeting strict deadlines.The personEssential:Considerable experience in payroll, including full end-to-end processingStrong knowledge of payroll legislation and complianceProven ability to manage high volumes of work with accuracy and attention to detailExperience with RTI and BACS submissionsSkilled in manual payroll calculationsExcellent communication and customer service skills, including handling calls and queriesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExperience training and mentoring junior colleaguesQualifications:Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or aboveBenefits:Competitive salary with annual discretionary bonus25 days'' holiday (plus buy/sell flexibility)P
