Principal Transport Planner Location: Leicester or NottinghamSalary: Competitive (experience dependent) Overview An established multidisciplinary consultancy has an immediate requirement for a Principal Transport Planner to join its Transport Planning and Engineering team, based in either Leicester or Nottingham. The role involves leading the delivery of transport planning inputs for development projects and acting as a key client contact. Key Responsibilitiesreparation of Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, and Travel Plans to support planning applications for private sector developmentsProviding advice on highway and transport-related planning issues, including access strategies and feasibility studies, in line with current policy and guidancePreparing preliminary horizontal designs for site access junctions and highway improvement schemes for highway authority approvalManaging multiple projects simultaneously as lead client contact, including financial aspects such as fee proposals, forecasting, and invoicingEnsuring work is delivered to a high technical standard within agreed timescalesDeveloping and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, design teams (internal and external), and highway authoritiesSupporting, mentoring, and providing technical guidance to other team members Skills and Experience Essential:Degree or other qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Transport, Civil Engineering, Geography, Planning)Proven experience in Transport
