Salary: -160- -220 per day

An inclusive and nurturing Special Educational Needs (SEN) primary school in St Helens is seeking a committed and skilled SEN Teacher with strong behaviour management skills to join their dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced SEN professional or a mainstream teacher with SEN experience looking to support pupils with a wide range of needs, including SEMH, ASC, ADHD and behavioural challenges.
About the Role:
- Plan and deliver tailored, engaging lessons for pupils with a range of complex needs.
- Foster a safe, positive learning environment that promotes emotional regulation and resilience.
- Implement and lead on individual behaviour support plans (BSPs) and risk assessments.
- Work collaboratively with TAs, pastoral staff and parents/carers.
- Use de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed approaches to behaviour management.
What We''re Looking For:
- A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience in SEN and/or behaviour-focused settings.
- Strong understanding of positive behaviour support, attachment-aware and trauma-informed practices.
- A calm, consistent approach to managing behaviour and promoting emotional well-being.
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced disruption or trauma.
- A flexible, resilient mindset and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
