We''re recruiting an experienced Maintenance Manager to take responsibility for the maintenance function at an established food manufacturing site in Wolverhampton. This is an opportunity for a hands-on engineering leader with experience in food production to manage and develop the maintenance team, improve equipment reliability and drive the overall efficiency of the site''s engineering operations.

The Role

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations across the site.
• Lead, manage and develop the maintenance team, ensuring workloads and priorities are effectively managed.
• Coordinate planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and reactive maintenance activities.
• Drive improvements in equipment reliability, plant performance and overall maintenance efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and support the resolution of mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with health and safety requirements.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts and external contractors.
• Identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.
• Work closely with production and other departments to minimise disruption and maintain output.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor or similar engineering leadership position.
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing and developing an engineering or maintenance team.
• Good understanding of PPM systems, breakdown reduction and continuous improvement.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front.
