Desian Education are currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced Year 1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ADHD in a welcoming and supportive primary school in Runcorn.The role is part time 8.30am - 2.00pm Monday to FridayThe Role:The successful candidate will work closely with a Year 6 pupil on a one-to-one basis, providing tailored academic and emotional support to help them access the curriculum, remain engaged in learning, and prepare for the transition to secondary education.Key Responsibilities:Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with ADHDSupport learning across the KS1 curriculum, particularly in core subjectsImplement strategies to support focus, emotional regulation, and positive behaviourWork collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionalsFoster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environmentSupporting with phonics interventionsThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND, particularly ADHDA strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculumThe ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupilsA calm, patient, and proactive approachA genuine passion for supporting children''s learning and developmentEnhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)Why Work with Desian Education?Ongoing support from a dedicated consultantOpportunities for professional developmentCompetitive rates of payAccess to a range of local Teaching Assistant roles If you are an experie
