Social Worker - Children in Our Care Team Our Children in Our Care Team is committed to providing outstanding care and support to children and young people who are looked after by the local authority. As a Social Worker in this vital team, you''ll play a crucial role in ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive, achieve their potential, and experience stability and positive relationships.You''ll manage a diverse and complex caseload, building meaningful relationships with children and their families, foster carers, and a wide range of professionals. Your work will focus on securing permanence, promoting well-being, and advocating tirelessly for the best interests of each child.Key Responsibilities:Undertake comprehensive assessments of children''s needs, wishes, and feelings, ensuring their voice is central to all plans.Develop, implement, and review robust care plans that promote permanence, safety, and well-being, whether through adoption, Special Guardianship Orders, or long-term fostering.Form strong, trusting relationships with children and young people, acting as their advocate and champion.Work in partnership with foster carers, residential staff, parents, and other family members, providing support and challenge as needed.Liaise effectively with schools, health professionals, CAMHS, and other agencies to ensure holistic support for children in our care.Prepare and present reports for Looked After Children Reviews, statutory meetings, and court proceeding
