Your New RoleWe have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Plumber in HMP Haverigg, North Lane, Haverigg, Millom, LA18. This role is based on-site. You will need your own transport due to the remote coastal, countryside location of this site, which is more than one hour from Lancaster.There will be a need to work 1 in 4 weekends but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).At Amey, we''re supporting our justice client, His Majesty''s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons.By using our facilities'' management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.Plumbers play an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week (across 7 days when a weekend shift pattern is in place). Start and finish times are Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00; Friday to Sunday 08:00-16:00.You will be responsible for:Routine and non-routine maintenance.Fault-finding Identification of life expired equipment.Check, repair and make good faults and life expired equipment.Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.Mains water supply is repaired.Minimise wastage and continually improve processes.Ensure statutory works are carried out on time and that work is compliant.This role may include working at height and in all weather
