I''m working with a leading regional law firm looking to add an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager to its established team. Continued growth, alongside longer-term planning within the team, has created an opportunity for a senior risk professional to join. This is a generalist role with a particular focus on claims, complaints and professional indemnity matters, alongside conflicts, regulatory advice and training. You''ll work closely with the Head of Risk, fellow managers and partners across the firm. Whilst you''ll have experienced colleagues around you, they need someone who can take ownership, exercise independent judgement and confidently make decisions on complex and sensitive matters. The role? Investigating and managing client complaints, drafting responses and supporting matters escalated to the Legal Ombudsman or SRA. Managing actual and potential claims against the firm, reviewing files and liaising with fee earners, insurers and external advisers. Advising on conflicts of interest, confidentiality, ethics and professional conduct. Providing practical guidance on the SRA Standards and Regulations, Accounts Rules and wider regulatory obligations.
