About the Role
You'll have an important part to play as the Security Operations Manager responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of Unipart Group Security standards. As a forward thinking and people focused company you will ensure customer satisfaction and value-add by delivering cost optimised sustainable security solutions and excellent security performance. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of the Group Security Management Team, reporting to the Head of Security Operations – UK, proactively reducing risk exposure to Unipart, its customers, and employees through the effective implementation of Unipart's security management framework and security standards.
As part of your key responsibilities, you'll:
- Create a safe and secure working environment for our employees and all visitors to our operation by deploying robust security solutions.
- Partner with key internal and external stakeholders to enact safety standards that mitigate organisational vulnerabilities.
- Deliver exceptional service quality and client satisfaction through cost-efficient protective strategies.
- Evaluate threat levels accurately while driving swift remediation and regular progress tracking for any security gaps and deliver corrective action plans when required.
- Develop and maintain in-depth site security profiles to include mapping of site security design and installations.
- To ensure that all outsourced guarding services at the sites within your area of responsibility are effectively delivered in the appropriate professional manner aligned to contract requirements.
About You

- Proven background in complex, high-pressure security risk management, with demonstrable experience in risk assessments and audits (preferably within logistics, supply chain, transport, or manufacturing).
- Track record of conducting thorough, sensitive security and criminal investigations.
- Proficiency in analysing diverse data sources to identify, analyse, and resolve unexplained inventory losses.
- Resilience and agility when working under pressure within dynamic, fast-evolving operational environments.
- Strong numerical, written, and verbal communication abilities, with confidence delivering presentations to diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Inspiring leadership qualities marked by high energy, drive, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Adept at managing competing priorities and strict deadlines in fast-paced operational settings.
- Proven success in overseeing multi-site operations and delivering key security initiatives.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with acute attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-standard reports.
- Willing to provide out-of-hours emergency security response when critical situations arise.
- Capability to drive security project lifecycles, maintaining physical safeguards that remain effective, proportionate, and cost-efficient.
- Desirable: Familiarity with industry frameworks and standards, including TAPA, AEO, C-TPAT, or CAA Aviation Security.
- Desirable: Recognised professional security accreditations (such as PSP, CPP, CFI, or CSMP) are highly advantageous.
