Junior Sous Chef

Fantastic opportunity for talented and creative individuals to join our expanding Kitchen Team at _Ye Olde Fleece Inn_, in Kendal. We are looking for a passionate Sous Chef , or a Junior Sous Chef that is felling ready to progress further.Responsibilities:- Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations.- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the menu and recipes- Oversee and coordinate food preparation and cooking activities- Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including line cooks and prep cooks- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specials- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulationsSkills:- Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or similar role in a busy establishment.- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and practices- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train a team- Excellent organizational and time management skills- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment- Attention to detail and a passion for creating delicious dishes- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the kitchen staff and management teamIf you are passionate about food, have excellent culinary skills, and thrive in a dynamic restaurant environment, we would love to hear from you!Job Types: Full-time, Perma
