Technical Account ManagerLocation: Berkshire (with occasional travel outside this area, mainly London and South East) Salary: 45,000- 53,000 basic (DOE) + car allowance, commission, healthcare, pension, and performance-related bonuses Employment Type: Full-time, PermanentAbout the Role We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join a leading organisation in the water treatment and compliance sector. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a medium-sized existing client base while driving new business growth. The role involves working closely with MandE consultants and contractors, managing projects from specification through to delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and grow an existing portfolio of MandE consultant clients.Develop and execute strategies to secure new business opportunities.Achieve product specifications and convert them into orders.Build strong relationships with decision-makers including engineers, project managers, and buyers.Prepare and deliver proposals and presentations.Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance and profitability.Stay up to date with industry regulations (e.g., ACoP L8, HSG274, HTM 04-01).Skills and ExperienceMinimum 5 years'' experience in account management/business development, ideally within the construction or water treatment industry.Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Familiarity with CRM systems and pipeline management.Full UK driving licence.
