Overview

Prism Medical manufactures equipment supplied to hospitals, local authorities, care homes and private homes. Its service work includes installation, servicing, maintenance and emergency breakdown response. As Field Service Engineer, you''ll carry out planned and reactive work, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and support the installation and commissioning of equipment. The role is located in Swindon. Hours and working pattern are to be confirmed.

Key responsibilities

• Attend equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults and carry out repairs, resolving electrical and mechanical issues independently where required.
  * Carry out servicing, scheduled maintenance and routine safety checks on medical equipment, including lifting aids.
  * Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  * Work on automated machinery and associated electrical controls, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  * Respond to reactive call-outs and urgent service level agreements.

What we are looking for

• Experience as a service, maintenance or field engineer.
  * Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience, including independent breakdown resolution.
  * Experience with automated machinery, CNC, robotics or similar equipment.
  * Ability to read technical drawings and work methodically.
  * Willingness to undertake field servicing, planned maintenance and reactive call-outs.
  * Some exposure to PLC fault-finding is desirable.
