PSR Solutions are working with an established client within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to Join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This role with be based in the East Midlands Region and will involve work within Residential groundworks Projects.

Quantity Surveyor Roles and Responsibilities

• Negotiate terms and conditions of subcontracts.
• Help to support process of payments for specialist subcontracts and key suppliers.
• Perform the closeout process, ensuring all contract terms are met and payments are verified.
• Work with the project team to evaluate the impact of budget changes and report back to senior management.
• Review and validate weekly cost monitors, comparing forecasted costs with actual costs with commercial team.
• Undertake site visits to administer the contract in line with project progress.

Quantity Surveyor Requirements

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course
• Highly computer literate including Microsoft Office and confident in managing and working with large data sets
• Must have experience working within Groundworks, ideally Residential
• Professional membership of appropriate body
• Good data interrogation skills
• Bid Knowledge
• Excellent legal/contractual knowledge
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Valid driving licence
