SEN Teaching Assistant - Lutterworth
Location: Lutterworth
Pay: -105 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time
Setting: One school only
Experience: Previous experience working with children essential
SEN: Must be willing to support children with SEN
Qualification: SEN/Childcare/Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
DBS: Must have a DBS or be willing to obtain one

Aspire People are working in partnership with a school in Lutterworth who are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This role is about providing consistent, practical support to children with additional needs and helping them get the most from their time at school. You''ll work closely with the class teacher and wider support team to help pupils access learning and develop their independence.
You''ll be based in one school, Monday to Friday, giving you the opportunity to build strong relationships with the children and become a familiar and trusted member of their support network.
Key responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with SEN
Help children access classroom activities and adapt tasks where needed
Support pupils with communication, social and emotional development
Encourage children to develop independence and confidence
Help pupils stay focused and engaged during lessons
Support children with transitions between lessons and different activities
Use positive reinforcement to encourage appropriate behaviour and engagement
Follow individual support plans and guidance provided by the school
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupils'' needs
Monitor and communicate any concerns or progress to the relevant school staff
Provide a calm, patient and supportive presence throughout the school day
What we''re looking for:
Previous experience working with children is essential
A genuine interest in supporting children with SEN and additional needs
SEN experience would be desirable but is not essential
A relevant qualification such as a Level 2/3 Childcare, Teaching Assistant or SEN qualification would be desirable
Someone who is patient, caring and understanding
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Someone who can build trusting relationships with children
A good team player who can work closely with teachers and other support staff
A valid DBS on the Update Service is desirable, but if you don''t currently have one, you must be willing to obtain one
