Our client, a global investment management firm is seeking to recruit an Equity Research Analyst to primarily cover the global Oil and Gas sector.Key tasks and responsibilities:Conduct detailed bottom-up equity analysis of specific companies in the Oil and Gas sectorBuild and maintain detailed financial models and develop an in-depth investment thesis for recommendationsGenerate investment ideas for inclusion in relevant portfoliosPresent compelling and well-articulated investment ideas to express convictions in research conclusionsKeep research up to date for companies already in the portfoliosRegularly interact with company management and produce investment notes on earnings calls, conferences and management meetingsCandidate RequirementsRelevant equity research experience on the buy-side or sell-sideRelevant work experience and knowledge of the oil and gas sectorCFA Charterholder or working towards qualificationStrong analytical and numerical skillsWillingness to embrace a long-term, fundamental investment processGood team player who is able to work within a collaborative, results orientated working environmentSelf-awareness and the humility to admit and learn from mistakesMason Blake acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
