Do you have a strong background in managing challenging behaviour and supporting students with additional needs? We''re working with a dynamic Pupil Referral Unit in Luton that is looking for a confident, resilient and committed Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. About the PRU Teaching Assistant role:Support students aged 11-16 who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream educationWork closely with teaching staff, behaviour mentors, and pastoral teams to deliver tailored supportHelp build trust and positive relationships with students, using de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategiesAssist with academic learning, social development, and emotional wellbeing Ideal Candidate Will Have:Proven experience working as a TA in a PRU, SEMH or alternative provision settingStrong understanding of behavioural needs and strategies to manage challenging situationsA calm, empathetic and assertive approachAbility to commute to LutonTeam player attitude and the ability to build strong rapport with young peopleRestraint training or Team Teach certification (desirable but not essential) Why This Role?Weekly pay between 460 - 500 (PAYE)Opportunity to make a genuine difference every daySupportive
