A leading logistics operation based at the Tadcaster is now seeking a Night Shunter to join its team on a on going basis. This is a stable role offering consistent hours, working 4 on 4 off, with full training provided where required.

As the Night Shunter your duties will include:

• Yard shunting of trailers to and from loading bays
• Ensuring trailers are positioned correctly and safely
• Carrying out vehicle and trailer safety checks
• Communicating with the transport office and warehouse staff
• Maintaining a safety-first approach at all times

Shift details:

• Night shifts: 17:30 – 05:30
• Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off

To be a successful Night Shunter you will have the following skills and experience:

• Valid HGV Class C or C E licence
• Valid CPC and Digi Card
• Previous shunting experience preferred
• A good understanding of site safety and yard operations
• No major endorsements (max 6 points)

In return the Night Shunter will receive:

• £18.43 per hour (nights)
• £21.30 Overtime after 8 hours
• £22.82 Saturday 
• £28.80 Sunday
• Regular, ongoing work
• Weekly pay (through agency)

All drivers’ pay rates are based on PAYE with accrued holidays. Umbrella payment options are available should you prefer a higher rate with no holiday pay.
