Night Shift Supervisor – Manufacturing
 
Location: Dudley
Hours: Sunday to Thursday 10:00pm – 6:00am
Pay Rate: £18.13 per hour (inclusive of shift allowance)
Contract: Ongoing
 
We are recruiting on behalf of a well established manufacturing business in the Dudley area for an experienced Night Shift Supervisor to lead and support production teams during night operations.
 
This is a key leadership role responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity and team performance across the shift, while ensuring output targets are achieved and customer orders are delivered on time and in full.
 
The Role
Reporting into the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational activities on the night shift, providing hands on leadership to the shop floor team.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of shop floor operatives and agency staff
• Set clear objectives aligned to site priorities and production targets
• Support continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as root cause analysis, 5 Why and Kaizen
• Deliver effective shift communication and handovers
• Promote a strong behavioural safety culture, leading by example at all times
• Ensure adherence to all safe systems of work, risk assessments and site procedures
• Take full responsibility for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance within production areas
• Ensure daily quality checks are completed and non-conformances are investigated and resolved
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and root cause analysis
• Identify training and development needs and support upskilling of team members
• Manage performance, attendance and conduct in line with company procedures

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production supervisory/management role
• Experience in fast-paced or high-volume manufacturing environments
• Strong people-management and leadership skills
• Understanding of Health & Safety and Quality standards within manufacturing
• Experience driving KPIs, productivity and continuous improvement
• Good IT, literacy and numeracy skills
• Management or leadership qualifications advantageous

• Competitive night shift rate of £18.13 per hour (inclusive of shift allowance)
• Consistent night shift pattern: Sunday–Thursday
• Option to get paid either weekly or monthly
