This contract role, based in either Romsey or Gloucester, requires a high level of security clearance and a deep understanding of SAP CPI, RF Test, RF Design, Embedded C/C++, and FPGA.Key Responsibilities:Engineering and DevelopmentDesign, develop and optimise OpenCPI components and applications for SIGINT and RF systemsIntegrate OpenCPI solutions onto FPGA-based and embedded SDR platformsSupport system architecture, trade studies, and technical design decisionsEnsure robust, scalable and reusable OpenCPI-based implementationsDevelop OpenCPI workers and containers in C/C++ and HDL (VHDL/Verilog where required)Integrate DSP chains into FPGA and embedded Linux environmentsConduct trade-off analysis across performance, latency and resource utilisationSupport hardware/software integration in secure lab and customer environmentsTesting and AssuranceDefine test plans aligned to customer requirements and acceptance criteriaDevelop automated test harnesses and regression test environmentsIdentify defects, performance bottlenecks and integration risks earlyProvide clear reporting and evidence for assurance and accreditation processesDelivery and Customer EngagementWork closely with Delivery Managers to ensure effective transition from design to deployed capabilityOperate directly within customer-facing secure environments where requiredMaintain str
