Control Engineer - NuclearLocation: North WestSalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceSector: Nuclear / Industrial MachineryEmployment: PermanentThe RoleAn established engineering and manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Control Engineer to join its nuclear engineering team.The company designs and manufactures specialist material handling and processing equipment, including containment systems, gloveboxes/isolators, powder processing equipment and other complex machinery. Control systems range from relatively simple relay and push-button systems through to more sophisticated PLC-based automation. This is a hands-on engineering position where you will take responsibility for the delivery of control systems, from initial design and specification through to integration, testing and commissioning. We''re ideally looking for someone with experience designing control systems for industrial machinery, particularly within nuclear, pharmaceutical, chemical or similarly regulated environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop electrical and control systems for complex industrial machinery.Produce control and instrumentation drawings, single-line diagrams, instrument schedules and datasheets.Work with PLCs, HMIs, VSDs, instrumentation and electrical/pneumatic control systems.Carry out design risk assessments and determine appropriate control system Performance Levels.Review and contribute to Functional, Hardware and Software Design Specifications.Ensure ..... full job details .....
